TITLE: Modeling Instruction in High School Physics
DATE/TIME: Saturday, April 12, 2025, 8 am to 9 am Arizona time/PDT (i.e., 11 am-12 pm EDT)
SPEAKER: Melissa Girmscheid, PhysTEC award-winning physics teacher at West Point HS in Goodyear, Arizona
SYNOPSIS: an overview, including 11th-12th grade (semester block schedule) and grade 9 (with computational modeling)
RELATED COFFEE HOUR: THURSDAY, APRIL 17, at 3:30pm AZ time. PoLS-T holds an informal and virtual physics educator Coffee Hour, soon after each talk. Melissa will attend, to continue the Q&A. Teachers can bring questions on any area of physics education they’d like to discuss.
